My inspiration is my Mom. As cliche and corny as it sounds, she really is. She has been the perfect example to me my whole life. There is a quote going around on social media right now and it explains how I see her perfectly. “I was raised by a woman who deserves more than she has ever received. I carry that deep in my heart.” My mom gave me the world when all she knew was ruin. She had no idea what a true mother figure was herself, and yet she was everything she never knew, for me. She is the definition of amazing. She taught me how to be strong, resilient, hard working, and independent while also being soft, well spoken, kind, and humble.
She raised three girls while going to school, working full time (remotely & travel), and having a first responder husband that is only home for two days a week at most. During all of this chaos, she never complained. If she had to miss a game, performance, project, or anything, she always apologized and called that evening asking us to tell her all about it. She is always present even if she’s not physically there. She truly does care. She has always told us, “I love you to the moon and back,” and I know she’ll always mean it. She is my inspiration as a mother, employee, student, sister, daughter, and a person overall. To know her is to love her and if you ever have the honor of meeting her, she is exquisite. She made me who I am today and for that, I am forever grateful.
